Kickin’ Childhood Hunger coordinators have received a huge response to their second annual event to raise funds to financially assist children’s food programs in North Central Oklahoma.  The event is a collaboration of five Oklahoma companies.  Numerous companies from around the United States have joined with sizable merchandise donations to help in kickin’ hunger for children in our state.  This event takes place August 22, 2015 at 9:00 am with a breakfast and auction at Kicker World Headquarters, 3100 North Husband, Stillwater, OK.

Kickin Childhood Hunger President, Roger Demaree, said “Last year was our first event and we were able to raise over $40,000.  We have been able to distribute these funds to locally organized food and backpack programs directed specifically toward childhood hunger in North central Oklahoma.” The directors of this board have been able to distribute 100% of all funds that came into the Kickin’ Childhood Hunger event went directly to food programs. Any fees or costs are paid using sponsors’ donations.  In the past year, half of the funds went to assist the Stillwater Weekend Food Sacks for Children Program.  The remainder was distributed throughout North Central Oklahoma. Recipients were selected by the board members who review applications from established and start up programs to feed children.  Upon proper board approval, the funds are distributed immediately.

Pam Gill, Stillwater Milling Company told us, “Wait until you experience our silent auction!  It’s going to be unlike any silent auction that Stillwater has ever held.  A little hint…you’ll want to bring your cell phone or electronic device to be a part of it!” Among the items in the live auction are a Customized and custom painted Golf Cart filled with an Audio System by KICKER. “We have received about one hundred items to use in the silent auction and more are coming in daily,” stated Lynn Youngblood, general manager of Forman Harley-Davidson.  Stillwater Milling Company recently joined this endeavor and have committed to many items including a few Yeti Coolers , a Traeger Grill and autographed helmets.  The impressive list continues!
